Trish Perryman is a prestige men’s hairstylist whose salon is located in downtown Austin, Texas. She’s been in service for more than 10 years and she took time to take a look at SalesVu’s appointments features and shared with us why this software is perfect for her business.
 

Trish started her SalesVu journey 6 years ago, she decided to switch from another POS system when a client of hers recommended SalesVu. She made up her mind about the new point of sale solution and installed the software on her iPad and iPhone.

As of now, Trish uses the main POS feature to keep track of sales and add products and services. She is using a different online booking system and will switch to SalesVu’s because of the integration and multiple features that this module has to offer.
 

The appointment module will allow Trish to schedule appointments from the iPad or back-end, it will also offer an online booking option, where people will go online to her main website, services and calendar will be embedded and clients will book services right away, booking multiple services is available too!
SalesVu offers confirmations by email and text and you can send up to two sms reminders for appointments. Color coded appointments are also an option, you will be able to look at: booked appointments, confirmed, checked in, payed and no show, this has the purpose of identifying easily your appointments on a calendar format.

Stumpy’s Hatchet House! The first indoor hatchet throwing venue in the USA is using SalesVu to manage reservations in their business.


 

Stuart and Kelly Josberger are the proud business owners of Stumpy’s Hatchet House. Together they started this recreational facility where people can explore their fun side and throw hatchets as a sport, in groups, parties and events. The hottest spot in Eatontown, NJ., was founded in April 2016 and definitely grew into a big trend in the US, they’re franchising right now and their four upcoming locations will open their doors in 2018 in New Jersey and Texas.
 

Stuart and Kelly started this business looking for different POS systems, they had a hard time because this business is so unique that it didn’t fell into the Restaurant or Spa categories. Some of their requirements to choose the right software were the possibility to manage multi-locations, an all-in-one system that included inventory tracking, employee management, online reservations, gift cards and ease of use for the staff, managers and franchises. The reservation module offers to have the schedule or calendar embedded into your website, there’s no need to redirect your customers to another webpage. In addition, it includes three types of payment options: payment upfront, payment at the business and partial deposits, you are able to choose the right one for your business. When customers reserve a pit on Stumpy’s Hatchet House website, they get a confirmation email and text, and prior to the appointment they also get text reminders.
 

Another feature that has been very helpful for Stuart and Kelly is the online gift card module. They implemented this tool on December 2016 and it was a game changer for them because they used to sell physical gift cards and mail them to their customers, which was very time consuming. Now people can buy electronic gift cards for their own or send them as a gift, they receive an email with a unique code that they will use to redeem it in the store towards a service or a product.

The last two modules that Stumpy’s uses to manage employees and keep track of their merchandise are Employee and Inventory management. The first module is used for clocking in/out, creating schedules for shifts, send schedules by email/text, pull labor reports and upload training documents for them to review. With the inventory module, they monitor in real time the deduction of the merchandise such as t-shirts and hoodies, they can create PO’s for ordering more products and receive inventory that will update automatically.

SalesVu Table Reservation is a perfect fit for Sukhi Restaurant in Panama City

Sukhi is a full service casual restaurant that serves dishes from Southeast Asia, the majority of the plates offered are from Thailand. Sukhi is based in Panama City, Panama and they have been in operation for 4 years. Sukhi has just opened its second restaurant in the City and has signed for two new locations to open in 2016. SalesVu has been present throughout the evolution and growth of Sukhi. With the online reservation feature, ecommerce module and our SalesVu iPad POS we are thrilled to be a part of the sales team of Sukhi. We talked with business owner Robert Lamont and here is what he told us!

“Panama enforced a new law in 2012 to try and ensure sales were being declared to “the tax man” with a fiscal billing system.  There are a very limited number of POS systems compatible and we were using a Venezuelan system called A1.  We now have a very simple fiscal system that we use in conjunction with SalesVu.  A1 has table management and inventory management, but was written by a programmer and lacks ease of use and has some “quirks that i failed to get my head around.  We have also been using a local delivery system called delicentro which managed our online orders and deliveries; we are in the process of taking photos of all our dishes so that we can set up our own delivery system using the e-commerce app.”

Robert told us the story of how he discovered SalesVu. Here is his story.

“I came across SalesVu when I was looking for a highly functional, portable POS that didn’t break the bank.  We occasionally do events and trade fairs with a mobile kitchen and needed to keep track of our sales; when I found SalesVu and saw it was free we tested it and instantly liked its ease of use . I was sure that when we opened our second restaurant we would use an iPad base point of sale, we looked at  POS Lavu, Revel POS and  Spectu before deciding to use SalesVu, we chose SalesVu because we could take the transition in steps, starting with just using the POS and Table management and then proceeding to use the other apps further down the line.”

SalesVu has been hugely beneficial for Sukhi, the first and most important is the price. Opening a new location isn’t cheap and the thought of spending a lot more money in other systems like Micros when we could of been spending it elsewhere was not appealing for Robert.

“As I previously mentioned, we also wanted to take the transition in steps, this has helped us get to grips with the system at our own pace and use our previous system in conjunction with SalesVu.
SalesVu is also saving all of our staff a huge amount of time, orders can be taken at the table and reports can be generated in a flash, our previous system was incredibly clunky at producing reports and always took half an hour to close the month. Also SalesVu allows us to sell anywhere we want, we can go to trade fairs and even process orders for customers in their car for delivery.”

For Robert the best feature is being able to see how the restaurant is doing wherever he is. He can be in the other restaurant and he can see what’s going on from his iPhone.

“I can generate instant reports on the golf course, you really can be anywhere and use the system.”

Chef Rone de Beauvoir gave 3 Michelin Stars to SalesVu iPad POS System

Cuisine To-Go is a healthy and fresh organic Bistro located in Pearland, Texas. They offer ship and ready-to-eat or ready-to-cook meals insulated packaging. All packed in a 100% recyclable box. Business owner Rone de Beauvoir told us that :

 

“I needed a mobile POS system because we do a great deal of off-site catering for companies all over Houston and the surrounding communities.I chose SalesVu for its ease of use and the fantastic category for restaurants. We asked Rone what was she using before SalesVu:

SalesVu iPad POS and the open tab feature are vital for Darryl’s Couch

Darryl’s Couch is Ventura County’s premier craft beer pub, featuring 11 rotating taps of exclusively craft beer along with an ever-evolving bottle list of over 30 beer selections. At Darryl’s they understand the passion for brewing and in the uniqueness of every sip of the golden liquid. The pub was first attracted to SalesVu because of the ability to open tabs for customers; a feature that is essential for operating efficiently a successful bar.

“We wanted a solution with an integrated credit card system that was easy for our staff to use, with a small device footprint, which allowed us to open tabs for customers while providing back office reports that were meaningful. Having a cloud-based service was desirable since we didn’t really have space for full sized system and data storage. “

Business owner Darryl told us that:

“I had seen other products that didn’t have the open tab feature which would have required us to write down orders and ring them in all at once at the end of the transaction. Looking further into the system I was also attracted to the merchant service rates, contract terms, and the application’s ability to track inventory and employee hours.”

Before SalesVu iPad POS, they were using a standard cash register that was purchased at the time of acquiring the business. He told us that under the traditional system, they were able to track PLU code, but that’s a great disadvantage was that the reports were only shown in the register tape.

Darryl considered other POS competitors, but he felt they were either too big of to expensive for what he was really looking for. Darryl also says that among his favorite features the finds that:

“The ability to open tabs is great. It allows us to easily and electronically keep track of a customer’s purchase during their visit. Inventory tracking is another great feature. The system will keep track of the number of servings we pour and alert management and staff when a product is near to running out. This is incredibly helpful when pouring beer from taps and you can’t see the quantity remaining in a keg. We’ve been able to easily track sales, see margin reports, simplify tracking staff hours, and anticipate ordering new inventory. “

We also talked about money and asked him how much money did they save upfront and ongoing using SalesVu. They answered

“We estimate that we save on average $50 each month over our previous merchant services, but the time savings that we now have by allowing our staff access to an easy to use interface, and management’s access to SalesVu’s backed reporting and management system are immeasurable.”
